Coding is used in majority of newer vehicles where a specific set of numbers/digits are used in order to make a component function correctly or differently. Nowadays there are so many different options that can be added to a vehicle that coding is needed to easy differentiate what a specific module can do.

Here at Midlands Vehicle Diagnostics we are able to reinstate coding of when new modules are installed and when existing modules need modifying. Coding can also unlock different functionality which did not come as standard from factory. Dealer’s don’t activate some options of vehicles even though the hardware is there to support it. There are some vehicles however we do not support in order to change the factory specification, such as Jaguar Land Rover. We will not / cannot change the manufacturer specifications on these vehicles.
